Pennies: Past, Present and Future

Pennies is a family-run company. Founded by Penny Scotton, a nursery teacher with a vision of a creative and innovative approach to working with children, the company has always set itself the task of offering “the very best in childcare, learning and fun.” Since Penny’s death in 2000 the company has been run by her family. Having operated abroad, starting in Germany, we opened our first site at Hockers Lane, Maidstone in 1998. Our second, larger facility at Newnham Court Shopping Village opened in 2005, since when we have branched out into nannying services, interactive and media work, playbarns and clothing for children.
